Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Wafflelog app, website, Trip Assistant and related services.

Last updated 20 October 2026

Agreement and provider

Wafflelog is provided by Wafflelog Limited, company number 16685116, registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX.

By creating an account or using Wafflelog, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to create a Wafflelog account. If you are under 18 or are not old enough to enter into this agreement where you live, you may use Wafflelog only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Wafflelog may not be available in every country or on every device. You must comply with laws that apply to you when using the service.

Your account

Provide accurate registration information, keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account to the extent permitted by law.

Your account and Trip Assistant Passes are personal to you. Do not sell, transfer or share access to your account.

Using Wafflelog

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use Wafflelog for lawful trip planning and management in accordance with these terms and the applicable app-store rules.

  • Do not use Wafflelog to break the law, infringe another person's rights or cause harm.
  • Do not attempt to bypass security, access another account without permission or interfere with the operation of the service.
  • Do not upload malicious code, scrape the service or use automation that places an unreasonable load on Wafflelog.
  • Do not use Wafflelog to distribute unlawful, abusive, fraudulent or deliberately misleading content.

Your content

You retain ownership of the trip details, notes, images, documents and other content you add. You grant Wafflelog a non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, transmit and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure and maintain Wafflelog and share it with collaborators you choose.

You are responsible for having the right to add and share your content. Do not upload passports, government identification, full payment-card details, unnecessary medical information or another person's private information without permission.

Deleting content or your account ends this licence except where limited retention is reasonably required for backups, security, dispute resolution or legal compliance.

Shared trips

Trip owners can invite other Wafflelog users to collaborate. Active collaborators may view and edit the content available within the shared trip. Changes made by one collaborator can affect everyone using it.

Only invite people you trust. Trip owners are responsible for managing access, and each collaborator remains responsible for the content and changes they contribute.

Trip Assistant

The Trip Assistant uses automated systems and third-party research to suggest a draft. Its output may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable or out of date and is not a booking service or professional travel advice.

Check official travel advice, visa and entry requirements, accessibility, opening hours, routes, prices, availability and booking terms before acting on a suggestion. You remain responsible for your travel decisions and purchases.

You must not use the Trip Assistant to generate unlawful or harmful content, probe its security or consume resources abusively.

Trip Assistant Passes and purchases

Eligible accounts may receive a complimentary planning session. After that allowance is used, a new planning session requires a Trip Assistant Pass. One Pass is used when the paid session is funded and generation begins, not when you later accept the itinerary.

A funded session includes its first draft and refinements permitted within the same session, subject to reasonable technical, safety and fair-use limits. Abandoning a session, rejecting its suggestions or deciding not to create the trip does not normally restore the Pass.

If a terminal technical failure prevents Wafflelog from providing a usable funded session, we will restore the Pass or apply an equivalent Pass credit after the failure is verified. This is separate from a monetary refund.

Passes are consumable, personal, non-transferable and have no cash value. They do not expire while the Wafflelog account remains active, but unused Passes are permanently forfeited when the account is deleted.

Apple or Google displays and processes the price, currency, tax and payment for an in-app purchase. Refunds are handled under the relevant store rules and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

Expense information

Wafflelog records expense information and calculates organisational summaries from the entries supplied by users. It does not hold funds, transfer money, settle a debt or provide accounting, tax or financial advice.

Check amounts, currencies, participants and balances with your travel companions before making a payment.

Third-party services

Wafflelog may use or link to maps, place information, app stores, booking providers, websites and other services operated by third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.

We are not responsible for a third party's content, prices, availability, bookings, decisions or continued operation. A link or suggestion does not mean that Wafflelog endorses or guarantees the provider.

Wafflelog's rights

Wafflelog Limited and its licensors retain all rights in the app, website, brand, designs, software and underlying technology other than content that belongs to users. These terms do not grant permission to copy or commercially exploit those materials.

Feedback is welcome. If you voluntarily provide a suggestion, we may use it without restriction or payment, but this does not give us ownership of your private trip content.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Wafflelog available and reliable, but access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance, faults, provider outages, network conditions or events outside our reasonable control.

We may add, change or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature or affects your legal rights, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

Suspension, sign-out and account deletion

We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to investigate security risks, prevent abuse, comply with law or respond to a serious or repeated breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to contact us.

You can stop using Wafflelog at any time. Signing out does not delete your account or necessarily remove offline data from that device.

You can permanently delete your account from Settings. This deletes trips you own and can remove information used by collaborators. It also permanently forfeits unused Trip Assistant Passes. Account deletion cannot be undone.

Consumer rights and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

If we fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, information entered incorrectly by a user, or a decision made in reliance on unverified travel or expense information.

Wafflelog is supplied for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, revenue, opportunity or goodwill to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings provided by the law where you live.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Wafflelog develops. We will update the date above and provide appropriate notice before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means the updated terms apply.
