How can we help?

Find practical guidance for planning, collaborating, synchronising trips and managing your Wafflelog account.

Getting started

Create an account, verify your email and add your first trip from the home screen. You can organise places, notes, checklists, links, documents, images and shared expenses around the days of your trip.

  • Create a trip manually or begin with the Trip Assistant.
  • Add dates and group itinerary items by day.
  • Keep useful booking references and supporting files with the relevant place or activity.

Using the Trip Assistant

The Trip Assistant turns a destination, dates and a short brief into a draft itinerary. You can review the result, request refinements and choose which suggestions become part of your trip.

Suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. Check important details such as opening hours, prices, availability, visa requirements and official travel advice before relying on them.

Planning together

Invite another registered Wafflelog user from the trip's companion controls. Active collaborators can see and edit the shared itinerary and its related notes, expenses, links and files.

Only invite people you trust, and avoid adding another person's private information unless you have permission to share it with everyone in the trip.

Shared expenses

Record who paid and choose who shares each cost. Wafflelog calculates an organisational summary by person and currency, but it does not transfer money or settle balances. Check the entries together before making a payment.

Offline access and synchronisation

Previously downloaded trip information is stored on your device so that much of it remains available without a connection. The Trip Assistant, place search, purchases, collaboration updates and files that have not been downloaded require internet access.

Local changes are uploaded when synchronisation runs. Pull to refresh after reconnecting to download changes made on another device. Signing out does not necessarily remove downloaded trip data from the device, so clear the app's data or remove the app before giving a shared device to someone else.

Notifications

If you allow push notifications, Wafflelog can alert you about trip invitations and selected collaboration updates. You can change notification permission in your device settings. Some updates also remain available in the in-app notification centre.

Trip Assistant Passes

Eligible accounts may receive a complimentary planning session. Further sessions can be funded with Trip Assistant Passes purchased through Apple or Google and managed by RevenueCat.

If a purchase or Pass balance does not appear correctly, confirm that you are signed in to the same Wafflelog account and reopen the app. When contacting us, include the platform, approximate purchase time and store order or receipt reference, but never send full payment-card details.

Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Wafflelog account in the app from Settings > Account > Delete account. This removes trips you own and can remove content that collaborators still use. It also forfeits unused Trip Assistant Passes, so review the warning carefully before confirming.

If you cannot access the app, email support@wafflelog.co.uk from the email address associated with your Wafflelog account and ask us to delete it. We will verify that the account belongs to you before processing the request. Never send us your password or authentication links.

Troubleshooting

Check that you are using the latest version of Wafflelog and that your device has a stable internet connection. Closing and reopening the app can resolve a temporary display or synchronisation issue.

When contacting support, include your device type, operating-system version, app version and a short description of what happened. Do not send your password, authentication links, passport details or full payment information.
